Sometimes I Just...Stare At It.

There are 17 tabs open on my laptop and in my brain, every single one of them feels urgent.
In addition to …
The laundry.
The groceries.
The thing I said I’d do three days ago.
The project in a pile that I was excited about for one day. (Like the chunky blanket my daughter-in-law and I wanted to make last year, but it got too big and overwhelming and once I realized I skipped steps it went to the dogs)
And if your menopausal like me you’re doing all this on 43% battery.
So instead of tackling the list, sometimes I just… stare at it.
I can’t tell you how many times I went down into my basement to organize the remaining boxes of OmTurtle and just stared.
Being overwhelmed has a funny way of making even the most productive women feel completely paralyzed.
BUT I’m learning that on those days, I don’t need to conquer the whole list.
I just need to do ONE thing.
ONE email.
ONE box.
ONE load of laundry.
ONE page.
ONE walk around the block.
Then maybe ONE more.
Then sometimes I get momentum and build something bigger than I can handle.
And sometimes not.
Tomorrow is another day.
One accomplishment a day still moves a life forward.
Keep going, sister.
Love you!!
